Book Cover ...(2012-01-27) Today the printing of "Migration and Health in Nowhereland - Access of Undocumented Migrants to Work and Health Care in Europe" was completed and the books were shipped. In their book, editors Gudrun Biffl and Friedrich Altenburg from the Danube University Krems (Austria) analyse the access of so-called "undocumented migrants," that is, migrants without papers, to the labour market and the health care system. Co-author is Carin Björngren-Cuadra from the University of Malmö (Sweden).

In this volume, the migration researchers cover the areas of health, work, family housing, policy and transnational migration. The book is clearly arranged in sections and chapters, and looks into the situation in the individual EU Member States. Numerous tables and graphs list data and key figures in detail. Illuminating best practice examples show what can be done to effectively manage the phenomenon of migration. In a further chapter, affected migrants tell their stories. The reader thus gains insight into the real problems and fears of those affected. Readers in a hurry will appreciate the executive summary and the chapter containing the summarised recommendations.

The book has appeared as a high-quality paperback in English. Coloured cover, b/w core on premium book printing paper, 215 pages. Size: 16 x 23.5 cm. Printed at a renowned quality printing house in Austria. The book is immediately available for 59 Euros. Publisher: omninum.
